Like in the movies

17 Jan

Seems that I have finished the Moorsele album so I’d better get started with a new one. I chose the second part of the Constellation album.

First a little flashback for those who missed the first part (shame on you…). In November (2012), we payed a visit to the Super Constellation and it’s crew in Lahr (Germany). (‘We’ is me and the other Photocrew members.)

This is the blogpost I made then: http://apron6.wordpress.com/2012/11/03/super-connie/

The second day we went back to photograph the Connie with the hangar doors open and to take some pictures of our crew for the website. With the doors open I really realized how big the Constellation actually is. Below is a picture from the Connie while the doors were opening ver slowly. The light fell on the plane and it actually looked like in the movies. Impressive sight!

Don’t ask me why there were lanterns on the roof. I have no clue!

Those “lanterns” are bird scarer balloons…

That makes sense. but it wasn’t very effective. there were quite a few dead birds.
